Upon moving into their new home, Michael and Christy were required to do renovation
work on their new purchase prior to moving in. During one of their many trips to Home
Depot, Christy met a young man who did construction work and was trying to get his
construction business going. As a result of this meeting, they later called and hired him
to do some work for them. While this man was working at their home, Michael felt impressed to share with him about the love of Christ. Having walked in similar shoes in his younger days, Michael shared his past journey with the young man telling him what Jesus has done for him over the years. While listening to the young man (who professed to be a Christian) talk about his financial woes and lack of business, Michael felt in his heart that the absence of tithing was the issue for much of this young man’s present financial problems. Michael then began to speak to him about this concern and later prayed with the young man in his driveway before he left. A few days later, the young man called Michael. In his excitement, he shared that ever since that prayer in the driveway, his business has flourished. He thanked Michael, and he also later visited Michael’s church.
