God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
In my past career, I was working on my higher educational requirements. On one
such “homework/ study” night before a big exam the next morning, I felt a strong
impression to call a member of my Sunday school class, and so I did. While
talking to this man, I felt a strong desire to share with him about surrender and
a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. About 15 minutes after getting
off the phone with him, he calls me back crying on the phone telling me that he is
ready to give his life to the Lord. He then asks me to come to his house and pray
with him. I went and had the opportunity to see a miraculous transformation with
his wife present. After this, I was driving home after midnight and confessing to the
Lord that I was exhausted and had absolutely nothing to give towards studying for
the exam which was now only hours away. I knew then that God is sovereign, that
salvation belonged to Him, and that this man’s salvation was no surprise to Him.
It just did not make sense to me when anticipating that I would blow this exam.
When exam time came, I was sitting there thinking about how I would either absorb
this failing grade or see some type of miracle take place. The professor walks in and
then tells us that while enroute to class he had a change of heart. He gave us the
exam as a take home exam. Praise God that He is in control!
In Christ,
