the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come
to pass, it will be done for him.” Mark 11:23
Recently I was praying for a man who I sensed was having issues of demonization.
Not knowing this during the time, I later found out that this same person had come
from a lineage of cult involvement, drugs, and alcohol addiction. While praying for
him, two other Christian men joined me in praying for him. As I stepped away trying
to discern what and how I needed to pray, the following verse of scripture came to
my mind, “If therefore the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John
8:36). Along with this verse, a boldness came over me that this verse was non-
negotiable…not up for discussion nor debate. When laying hands on this man and
softly speaking this verse over him, I knew in my heart that as I was speaking this
verse it rang loud in the spiritual realm. After repeating this verse, the third time and
without any doubt, the man lifted his head, glared at me, and snarled. I looked back
at him and said, “Out…In the name of Jesus Christ!” Praise God that he was
delivered, and it was immediate and powerful…..not up for any debate, tugging
around, or discussion either. I am grateful that God uses ordinary, simple people
like you and me. Praise God for His power and for His eternal Word!
