Just thought I would share….
On my way home from work tonight, I was picking up some groceries at Super
One for my family. The store was extremely crowded with long lines. In front
of me was a man in his thirties with his girlfriend. He was wearing an old Army
BDU (battle dress uniform) top, and I struck conversation with him about it. It
turned out that he was enlisted in the Army National Guard. As we talked, he
began share with me that he was disabled from an accident in Afghanistan. He
was ran over by an Army vehicle, and he showed me where his upper body was
crushed and broken. Tearing up, he then confessed to me that he lost his best
friend there, and he then began to tell me of his present torment with PTSD
and his inability to sleep at nights due to combat and his accident. I felt strongly
that I needed to pray for him, and I asked him if I could. He immediately said,
“Please do” and I did. I prayed and asked our Lord to heal him in his present
circumstances and also to intervene and make Himself known to the life of this
young man. Afterwards, he thanked me and asked me where I went to church.
All said, I really believe his confession tonight was not unto me as it was unto
the Lord. I just happened to be the ambassador present.
In Christ,
