be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints"
(Ephesians 6:18)
One morning, Tyler was compelled to pray for his wife. As he prayed, he felt
burdened to specifically pray for her safety. Not knowing why he felt so strong
about this, he responded in obedience to this call to prayer. Throughout the
morning, this burden never left him, and he prayed fervently for his wife from
6:30-11:00 a.m. At around 11, his wife called him telling him that he needed
to come get her immediately. Her car had caught fire while she was driving.
Something under the hood blew up, and it sounded like a shotgun blast. Black
smoke billowed immediately and filled up the cabin of the car before she could
even pull over. After getting out of the car, she was able to get the family dog
out and then there was another blast and the car’s engine compartment went
into flames. Praise God for praying people like Tyler.
