I had a very encouraging experience and testimony from life group this week. There was a first-time visitor at our group. She is a young lady who is looking for fellowship opportunities in the church. Towards the end of the meeting, we decided to pray a blessing over her. At the end of the prayer time, I spoke up and shared two pictures that had been come to my spirit. One was a picture of her weeping. Another picture was of her holding a small, ornate, gold box that was full of jewels. As I saw this, I asked God, “What does this mean?” I believe God told me that she had lost something in the past, something important to her, but that God was going to give her something new. The old thing was gone. It would not come back. It was over. It was in the past. Instead God was going to give her something new something and more precious. He was giving her something beautiful. This word touched her greatly and she was in tears.
When I finish sharing this word, she said she wanted to tell a story. She said that several years ago she had been in love with a man. She said that she had cried a lot over this relationship because she had a strong desire to get married, to be a wife and to have children, but the relationship did not go well. This man wasn’t serious, but as she would find out, he just wanted to use her. She broke off the relationship, which made him mad. He began to follow her. She became afraid and spent a lot of time crying over this fear, loss, and disappointment. Although this man eventually left her alone, she began to wonder if she would ever be in love again and get married. So this word that I gave her was very important to her. The picture of the golden box was an encouragement to her that God had a greater blessing for her. The old was gone and something new and better was coming.
