Wednesday, September 19, 2018: Testimony by Tim Smith:
Tim had attended and infrared a photography conference in Austin, Texas last week. This conference related to Tim's line of work with Entergy. This conference was attended by about 450 people from all over the world. Tim had the opportunity to talk to people from Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Mexico, China, and Pakistan. One of the men that he had the opportunity to visit with was from Pakistan who work for a hotel. He described himself as a refugee from Pakistan. He has been in America five years with his wife and five children. Tim testified to him that he was a follower of Jesus Christ; welcoming him to America. Tim asked him if he would allow him to say a prayer for him. He told him that he was a Muslim. Tim wanted to pray for him in the name of Jesus Christ. He agreed; Tim placed his hand on his shoulder, he was very respectful and humble and allowed Tim to pray. Tim was asking God for his blessings over this man and his family, or opportunities and provision. Tim asked that the father withdraw him to do Christ Jesus. This was a pleasant time in the man seemed very appreciative.
Another man that Tim met with; his name was Young Chang Yo from Korea. He was a salesman; the company that he represented sold infrared cameras. He and Tim had a real nice conversation together. During the conversation Tim told him that he was a follower of Jesus Christ. He asked him who he looked to as his God. He said that he was also a Christian and that in Korea there were old Christians and new Christians. He was referring to old Christians as Catholics; and the new Christians were non-Catholics. He identified himself as a new Christian. It was refreshing for Tim to meet these people and talk to them about Christ Jesus. Tim came to realize that even though there were differences in geographical locations, cultures and the lives; we still have many things in common. Tim was pleased to have the many different encounters.
