5. Father and Son (Suicidal Intervention) Richland Parish
I was called to intervene where a Suicide attempt occurred in Northeast La. A father had intercepted an attempt but felt under equipped to keep his son from harming himself. The son was about 28 years old and works in the oil field. Arrived at the home and noticed there was blood on the steps leading into the home. I was there for 1 Hour to intervene on a Sunday afternoon. After praying with the son he made the statement that he was angry that we intervened and even angry that he no longer wanted to take his life after I prayed with he and his father. Truly a move of God that God took away his desire to take his own life. This situation needs continued prayer since I have not had the opportunity to reconnect with the son who attempted suicide.
