Hello Robert. I would like to share this testimony from Sunday evening that took
place before the House group meeting at Neil and Mei Powers Home.
We arrived early at Neil and Mei‘s so that Hannah could rehearse before leading
worship. I went and ran a few errands beforehand. While out - my wife asked if I
would bring her a sandwich. This has never happened in all the times that we’ve
met at Neil and Mei‘s. She specifically requested I Pick her up a Subway sandwich
at a particular gas station off of N 7th st and Arkansas Road.
When I arrived at the gas station to order my sandwich there was a line. As I began
to approach the front line I saw a young lady whose name is McKenzie. I noticed
there seemed to be a sadness in her eyes. I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to
show her love and treat her as valued.
I spoke to her Kindly as I ordered my sandwich. As I neared the end of the line
and she wrapped my sandwich I told her God bless you and smiled and walked
off to the front register.
As I arrived at the front register I noticed that she had walked all the way from the
back where she had prepared my sandwich to check me out herself. She said
“haven’t I seen you before? Don’t you attend the celebrate recovery at first Baptist
church in Rayville? And doesn’t your daughter sing there with the worship team?“
I answered yes to all three of those questions.
I then asked her if I could hold her hand and pray with her. I prayed a very fervent
prayer for God to Bless her and to meet her needs and that whatever was important
to her mattered to him. She then began to wipe tears in her eyes as I told her that
the Lord LOVED her and that she mattered to God, that he valued her and that he
had a place at the table for her that h wanted to use her greatly to Advance His
Kingdom.
