For the word of God is living and powerful…and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
Stephen, working at a coffee shop, was approached by Johnny who tells him that he recalled seeing Stephen in the gym about four months ago approach a lady asking her if he could pray for her. She declined, but this event impacted Johnny. Johnny then begins a conversation with Stephen about God. He has many doubts about Christianity and tells Stephen that he is angry at God about his sick wife, about hypocrisy, and about how unfair life is. While sharing, Stephen is praying to God asking Him for a word that could penetrate Johnny’s heart about God. In the midst of this conversation, Stephen receives a word revealing to him that all of Johnny’s talking points surround the fact that he is searching for something. When asked about this, Johnny responds that it is because they were talking about this Christian stuff. Pray for Johnny that he will know our Lord Jesus Christ.
