Saturday, June 9, 2018:
“And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”Galatians 5:24-25
Jo, a sister in Christ, prayed and felt impressed to help lead a community group
meeting at a local nursing home. Since her involvement, she testifies, “Every
time I go, I love these people more. Each time, the Lord sends someone really
precious to us.” A highlight of this week’s meeting involved one of the attendees
who shared how the Lord gave her back her singing voice the very morning of
the meeting. She shared of a recent dark period where she felt abandoned by
God and even wondered where God was; however, these community group
meetings have made alive relationships, squelched loneliness, and they have
helped to flicker the flame within her. In the end, she was asked to sing, she
shared, and she even prayed over Jo with a prayer of rich faith. Praise God!
