A month ago, I meet Moe in the mall area of the church I attend in West Monroe. He was walking by me, we made eye contact and I stopped him. I wasn’t sure why but I understand the need for swift obedience from Yeshuah’s followers at times. Moe was not hard to pick out of a crowd, being tattooed from his wrist to his neck and one small facial tattoo. I began to encourage him and asked where he was from and what he did for a living. He was very open and seemed a bit broken as we talked. Originally from IL, he is an executive chef, very highly trained & had worked in many local restaurants. Moe had experienced some personal issues, ultimately made bad decisions that led him to lose hope and attempt suicide. As a result, he experienced a major setback in his work career. Out of work for a while he fell behind on bills. One day he arrived home from work and found a note attached to his door that required his attention regarding past due payments on a loan. He called the number on the card yelling and cursing at the constable. The next day a police office and the constable returned to submit a second notice. Moe went outside and confronted them and stated he was trying to get back on his feet but simply did not have any money. He began to become agitated once again and the officer asked him a very surprising question, “can we pray for you?” All three men went inside Moe’s home, grabbed hands along with Moe’s daughter who was in the house at the time. They began to pray, Moe began to weep and fell to his knees broken before Yeshuah. At that moment the Spirit of Living God came into Moe and he was radically transformed. I do not have enough time to tell you everything I have discussed with him in the past few weeks but I met with him Saturday at a restaurant in West Monroe for two hours. He wept while detailing his journey thru life always believing in a higher power but never knowing what to call him. He is now certain His name is Yeshuah (Jesus) and I experienced a hunger and passion rarely seen in a confessing Born Again(JN 3:3) man or woman. He had asked a pastor to meet with him to explain the history and teachings of Jesus but had no luck connecting. He text, me the next day to thank me and I told him I would spend time in the word with him. He is currently working two jobs and has a very busy schedule but I am meeting with him tonight. We will have coffee at IHop in West Monroe at 9:45pm and get into the word until 11:45 pm because he is hungry for truth. I like my sleep but I love ministering and feeding the souls of the truly hungry more. Swift obedience pays dividends.
