During my visit to my doctor on Friday 6/4, I was sent to the lab for blood work. The young lady, who happened to be black was very efficient. When she inserted the needle, I barely felt it. Then I began to engage her in conversation about medical procedures. She spoke about how black people are treated differently. She had gone to the bank seeking a loan and was rejected while she noticed a white person being welcomed and given a loan. Her statement was, this was unfair. So, I asked if I may pray for her. I took authority over that racial bias and built a bridge of love based on character not color. As i did, tears began to stream from her eyes. Then she thanked me. I asked if she was christian and she is, but we broke down a racial wall between us. The name of Jesus won the day.
