Sunday Morning October 18, 2015 When Mei Powers was preparing to go to church; she felt a pain in her right shoulder, it wasn't something that was ordinary for her. She believed that it was a word of knowledge that she should pray for someone that had a bad right shoulder. She mentions this to her husband, Neil Powers. At first Baptist Church in West Monroe that Sunday morning she mentioned it to those in her Life Group but none responded so she went to a different life group where Tim Smith was attending, she said, " I feel like Lord wants me to pray for someone that has a bad shoulder." Tim spoke up and said this could be me. My shoulder comes out of socket quite often.
When Tim was around 16 years old, playing football his shoulder was knocked out of place. Since that time, it easily slips in and out of socket and he knows the procedure to put it back in. He even abstains from raising his right arm to prevent it from slipping out. Occasionally while sleeping his right arm will come out of socket. At one time he had an MRI which indicated that he had part of his socket broken off; it is about the size of a quarter floating around.
The life group members gathered around him with Mei and Neil and began to pray for Tim; he felt that something was happening within his shoulder. Neil asked him was it completely healed and he said I still feel some pain as he raised his arm and move it around. They prayed for him the second time and the results were, it felt better. Then they prayed for him the third time and he believe God for his complete healing.
