in Chase Louisiana. Hannah sang a song during the worship service and I shared about stories
of God's power that had been demonstrated this past summer as it related to our Honduras XMA
trip where multiple healings took place. At the end of the service I exchanged phone numbers
with a sweet lady by the name of Mrs. Johnny Gilcrease. Mrs. Johnny did not come forward
for prayer that day but would later call me to pray for her over the phone. Mrs. Johnny's condition
is one known as "Lymphedema." Here is how Mayo Clinic defines the condition:
"Lymphedema refers to swelling that generally occurs in one of your arms or legs. Sometimes
both arms or both legs swell. Lymphedema is most commonly caused by the removal of or
damage to your lymph nodes as a part of cancer treatment. It results from a blockage in your
lymphatic system, which is part of your immune system. The blockage prevents lymph fluid
from draining well, and the fluid buildup leads to swelling. There's no cure for lymphedema.
But it can be managed with early diagnosis and diligent care of your affected limb."
Mrs. Johnny said that she has had this condition of Lymphedema for 16 years now. She and
I prayed together over the phone and she called me a few days later saying that the swelling
had began going down. She told me that she had not been able to put her fingers around her
wrist but that since she and I prayed she was now able to do that. She called me this morning
to tell me that the swelling has been slowing going down ever since we prayed for her. Please
continue to life Mrs. Johnny up in prayer that she will see her healing completed.
God Bless.
