West. She came to Mike about her desire and he told her that he would be behind
her 100%. The Lord blessed them with the funds and everything that they needed
for the mission trip. Mike took her to the airport Saturday morning and she flew
out at 8 A. M. As soon and Abby got to Atlanta she had to call him. She was
excited, as soon as she got on the plane a guy sat beside her and she began
to share with him her testimony. It was a wonderful experience sharing with him
the love of Jesus Christ. After a short lay-over she got on another flight for
Boston. On that flight, another guy was setting beside her and she again
began to share with him her testimony. Come to find out that he was a
methionine addict, so she minister to him. Telling him that he didn’t have
to be that way and that the love of Christ would deliver him. She is now pumped
with the love of God flowing from her. Mike has not gotten to talk to her much
while she has been there. But Monday she was in a school to teach about
Louisiana History. They began to ask her questions about herself and she could
share with them her testimony. Then Monday afternoon at a ceremony Mark Fin
asked her to share briefly her testimony in front of a group. Afterward she was
surrounded by kids that wanted to talk to her. She had prayed and prayed
that the Lord would help her to share the love of Jesus and the power to change
lives. Monday evening, they had what was called “A Taste of Louisiana” where
the kids could taste some of the Cajun dishes. Again, Abby was able to share
again about how the Lord could set you free and give you a new life in Christ
Jesus; his hope, love and compassion of the Lord. She said the spirit of the
Lord fell on the place; she had prayed and prayed for the Lord to give her
just the words to share. She said that the kids and the other team member
began to weep. She was able to pray for a number of the kids. Thus far it has
been a wonderful experience. One thing I know is Abby has her eyes on her
earthly father and well as her Heavenly Father. Mike has been on many mission
trips himself. Mike, we are proud of you, a husband and a father and we thank
the Lord for First West, for their vision for Wales.
