Saturday, January 5, 2019: Good morning pastor,
I pray all is well with you. We have just wound up our Honduras trip which was nothing short of amazing. By the blessing of God, we were kept very very busy taking ground for his kingdom. We lost exact count but believe we saw in excess of 30 people accept Christ, many prayed for Jesus to again be the focus of their life and several healings.
In addition we saw Gods love touch every member of our 15-person team. We had several veterinarian students who had never witnessed praying for individual people, had never seen a healing and never experienced the transformation of someone’s life as they first encountered Jesus. It wasn’t long before we began to see changes in ALL the students as well as our host of interpreters. God poured out his love in a host of ways to the local people and gave us all protection as the team worked with a variety of animals including very large herds of cows, pigs, horses and mules. There were many opportunities for injury but God was so faithful. We only had one minor injury from a scared dog but the results were still very good.
We saw a lady struggling with abdominal pain healed all while the doctors worked on her pigs, we prayed for a widow who had very bad arthritis in her knees and was struggling to walk. Once we were done praying, she began to dance and praise Jesus!
We shared Christ with a man in the door way of a bar and watched Holy Spirit transform his life from sorrow to tears of joy all while holding his beer!
God opened the door for us to be in the right place at the right time to be invited into a home of a very poor couple. There was a father and mother there who both accepted Christ with great joy only to find out a few minutes later that their daughter who is a Christ follower had been fasting for two weeks for God to send someone to lead her family to Christ!!! Oh, how God makes himself known! I have no words to explain the joy. As we were about to depart, I ask one of the ladies who is a mother to pray over the mother who had just accepted Christ. This is when we found out this mother had 17 children with the man, she had been with for 40 years. This woman’s name was Mary Magdalene!
We experienced so much more which we all give our Lord Jesus all the glory. Oh, what it is to live as his vessel every-day!
