Robert Lindsay first met our Lord Jesus Christ in a revival at Mount Ararat Baptist Church in Union parish when he was 12 years of age. He attended Claiborne Elementary School then graduated from W. Monroe High School. After that he joined U.S. Air Force serving in Texas, Guam, Taiwan and Barksdale A.F. Base in Bossier City. It was there he became earnest in seeking the Lord for a wife. The Lord answered his prayers; he met Ginger at Barksdale Baptist Church: and it has worked; now being married for 52 years. They have three children, nine grandchildren all are mighty in the service to our Lord Jesus. It was on January 18, 1967 he was introduced to the Baptism of the Holy Spirit by Bro. Charles Simpson. Soon after this he was Baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues like those on the day of Pentecost. Robert was ordained as pastor at Monroe Covenant Church on April 17,1999. He retired as a maintenance superintendent of Graphic Packaging in January, 1999. He has made 39 mission trips to 13 countries In His latter years he has been called by our Lord Jesus to make disciples.
